2012 Florida Letterman Awards

Hey everyone!
So I wanted to share some pics I have from the 3rd Annual Florida Letterman Awards that was this past Monday night. The FLAs is an award show the University of Florida puts on to recognize and reward all of the accomplishments of the student-athletes from the past athletic season. I am part of the gymnastics team at UF, and I was chosen to be the Director of Planning for this year's event. It was such an honor! Unfortunately, I didn't get a ton of pics since I was running around like a mad women making sure everything was good to go before the show! But here are a few I managed to snap/jump into. I was SO excited to get to wear this little Bebe number...such a fun dress!

We are currently obsessed with the ankle strap sandal. We think it all stemmed from when we first landed eyes on those Rachel Zoe Gladys flats...wowza. They're simple in design, yet the ankle strap and gold latch makes them so chic. Yes, the Zoe's are a little bit on the pricier side, but there are so many options out there since this is a hot trend for the upcoming months. It's the perfect sandal to add some uniqueness to your easy-going summer outfits. Who else is having some serious cravings for some cuffs?? 

Bringing It Back In Style

Check out these awesome vintage finds that we purchased at Twice New in Houston, Texas! The sequin top has GREAT shoulder pads that give the piece really good structure. And let's just take a look at that blaze...I mean, YES. It also has shoulder pads and silk accents which add a touch of chicness. The small flare at the bottom of both garments gives a flirty feel to these vintage looks. Both pieces are sold for $78. SO excited we found these little gems;) 

Taking it to the MAX!

We love love love us a flirty and flowy maxi. Whether it's a printed floor-length dress, or a classic black, pleated skirt, the maxi is a Spring/Summer essential in our eyes. Pair it with some strappy sandals to get a laid-back vibe, or rock it with some platform wedges to dress it up. And since this look is pretty simple on its own, it allows you to have some fun with accessories...always a bonus;) So don't be shy girls, take your look to the max with the maxi! 

Floppy Fun!

One of our favorite Spring/Summer accessories is the always fun, and always stylish, floppy hat. It's the perfect item to throw on for a day at the beach, a shopping trip with the gals, or if your hair is being stubborn and isn't cooperating with you. We're excited to pair this hat with a long pleated maxi skirt, basic tank and top the look off with some fun arm candy. There are so many styles, colors and patterns of this accessory. The options are endless as to what you can pair it with and how dressy you want to take your look. So choose some different styles, and have some fun with it!

A great statement necklace is the perfect accessory to add a little extra flare to your outfit.
