Shout out to our followers!

So we're in the middle of packing for NYC, and we're trying really hard to be efficient and pack only what we need, but in the words of the always wise Rachel Zoe, "More is More". We totally agree! So in that case, we're basically packing up our closets haha! In the midst of deciding which wedges to pair with which blazers, we got on the subject of our blog. We just want to give a shout out to all of our followers! Y'all are awesome! We ALWAYS want to hear from y'all about what you think about our blog and about the wonderful world of fashion. Summer is the perfect time to brighten up your wardrobe and add some color to your closet! We're loving the bright, color block outfits the celebs and designers are busting out these days. Join in on the fun and mix bold, bright colors to really make a statement! And you don't just have to keep the eye-catching colors to your clothing. Add a neon clutch or bold heels to play along with this fun trend and really make you stand out in the summer crowds.

Jump into Summer '11

Jumpers are the new "must have" of summer 2011. Whether you wear it during the day as a casual frolic or at night by sprucing it up with some fab jewelry, jumpers are the best bet. You can literally jump right into them and be comfy and chic all day long. We suggest pairing this easy ensemble with some summer time wedges or pumps. A bold, chunky choker and some stand out earrings will "jump" the 70's bo-ho trend into a modern day stand-out outfit.

Big Apple countdown

So the official countdown to the Big Apple has begun!! Officially two more weeks until we set off on an experience that we'll never forget. We have been fortunate enough to land an internship with two amazing fashion designers, Stephanie Doucette and Annebet Duvall. They started their own fashion line, DoucetteDuvall, in 2005. What makes these two designers stand out from the crowd is that they focus on using recycled fabrics to make all of their clothes. One of our dreams is to get to have the opportunity to live in NYC and be in the middle of one of the fashion capitals of the world. We can not even begin to express our excitement about the experience we are about to have! We will be updating our blog as much as we can and filling y'all in about what we are up to in NYC:)

Maxi dresses remind us of strolling on the beach, enjoying a day of outdoor shopping, or even lounging out by the pool. These ultra comfy dresses are perfect for the summer heat. You can rock this versatile look for a casual day outing, or glam it up for a night out on the town. Some of the many designs can range from floral, colorblocked, strapless, halter, or strappy. A floppy hat and some oversized shades are our personal fav accessories to add to this fun, flirty look.

Summer "Block" Party

We DIE when we see color blocked nails. Of course the amazing fashion trend originated from the iconic Lady Gaga....which is now the hottest spring/summer trend. You can match up any color duo to add a bold, stand out statement to any wordrobe. Yes, the bold brights are still a hot trend, but why not mix it up a bit and add brights together and start blocking it up!

Our first post!

So we decided to dedicate our first post to the always glamorous and amazingly successful Rachel Zoe. Through her style, mindset, and go-getter attitude, she is a constant inspiration to us.
